The ZEISS Axio Observer Research Inverted Microscope from Carl Zeiss Microscopy has been installed at CANDLE and now is in full operation. The installation of the fluorescent microscope has been performed by a Carl Zeiss engineer, who carried out a training course for CANDLE staff.
The microscope provides an opportunity to conduct studies under the wide field transmitted light, phase contrast and fluorescent contrast. The instrument is equipped with 10X, 20X, 40X and 100X objectives. The sample holders intended for Petri dishes, (with diameters of 24-68 and 87-92 mm), microscope slides and multiwell plates provide an opportunity to collect data from a whole range of samples in a variety of conditions.
The microscope allows to capture up to 6 fluorescent channels simultaneously. At this moment, 4 fluorescent channels are available:
Channel |
