CANDLE SRI invites everyone to celebrate the International Day of Light which will be held on June 9, 2022, starting at 10:00 am.
During our Open Doors, we will host a series of hands-on activities, the participants will have the chance to explore the history of the institute, as well as its activities and just to immerse in the world of science a little bit.
Our doors will be open to all ages. The event is FREE of charge.

The event is dedicated to the memory of the founder, the first president of the CANDLE SRI, as well as the great philanthropist Zhirayr Hovnanyan, and will also mark the beginning of a series of events dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Institute.
The International Day of Light 2022 is a UNESCO global initiative in the framework of which CANDLE is the national node from Armenia. The International Day of Light raises global awareness of the importance of light science and technology in areas such as communications, sustainable development, climate action, and healthcare.
