The 33rd International Conference on Linear Accelerators, LINAC2026 (https://indico.jacow.org/event/117/), was held in the Republic of Korea from August 16 to 21, 2026. The conference was attended by Hayk Sargsyan, Senior Laboratory Assistant of the Control Systems Group at the CANDLE Synchrotron Research Institute (CANDLE SRI).
As part of the conference, Hayk Sargsyan presented his scientific work and was awarded the “Outstanding Poster” Award.
The LINAC conference series is one of the most important international events for the global community of linear accelerator specialists and is held biennially. It provides participants with an opportunity to present their research, learn about the latest scientific and technological advances in the research, development, and applications of linear accelerators, and establish collaborations with international partners.
In keeping with its long-standing tradition, LINAC2026 featured invited and contributed presentations, poster sessions, and an industrial exhibition. The scientific program was complemented by a rich program of social and cultural events, providing participants with opportunities to exchange knowledge and experience in an informal setting, as well as to discover Korean culture.
The conference placed particular emphasis on the participation of students and early-career researchers, encouraging their active involvement in scientific discussions and offering a number of scholarships to support their participation.
