Prof. Eduard Laziev is one of the founders of accelerator physics in Armenia. During his professional career he was standing at the origins of construction of the Armenian Synchrotron –ARUS and electron linear accelerator LUE-75 at Yerevan Physics Institute. Prof. Laziev was heading accelerator department at Yerevan Physics Institute along with lectures at Yerevan State University. Under his supervision about 30 dissertations were successfully defended. In 2002 prof. Laziev joined the CANDLE team and brought in many new ideas. His experience and knowledge in the field of accelerator physics and technology are invaluable.
CANDLE team congratulates prof. Laziev on his 90th anniversary and wishes him a strong health, prosperity and many years of enjoyable and productive life.
