On March 10, Mr. Takuya Okamoto, Deputy Executive Director of the International Science and Technology Center (ISTC) and Dr. Hamlet Navasardyan, Armenian ISTC Director, visited the CANDLE Synchrotron Research Institute. The officials got acquainted with the status of the CANDLE Synchrotron Light Source project and its first phase, the AREAL laser driven RF gun linear accelerator. The AREAL ongoing activity and the research plans were also presented.
