The scientific council of Physics Faculty (Yerevan State University) has declared Margarit Astarian as the best bachelor student 2020. Margarit’s Bachelor thesis was devoted to the study of electron beam energy modulation and micro-bunching in beam plasma interaction. She completed a scientific study referring to beam plasma interaction in free space and waveguide, wakefield generation and acceleration, beam energy modulation in plasma with further micro-bunching using ballistic bunching technique. The work was carried out at CANDLE Synchrotron Research Institute under the supervision of Prof. V. Tsakanov. The results are currently being prepared to be published in a peer-reviewed journal.
