The first results on ultrafast irradiation of biological objects by AREAL ultrashort relativistic electron pulses and highlights of international cooperation between Armenian and Russian scientists have been outlined in the interview of Prof. A. N. Osipov given to “Golos Armenii” newspaper /http://golosarmenii.am/article/48001/areal-unikalnye-vozmozhnosti-i-dlya-biologov/. The new opportunities in DNA damage and repair studies, using an ultrafast irradiation technique, and their applications in advanced oncology are discussed. Prof. Adrian N.
