It is with deep sorrow we learn that the head of “Hirair and Anna Hovnanian Foundation”, founding member of the Hayastan All Armenian Fund, and a close friend of CANDLE Institute Mr. Hirair Hovnanian passed away.
Hirair Hovnanian was a prominent philanthropist who initiated a wide range of charitable activities both in Armenia and abroad. He always supported cultural, educational and scientific projects.
In 2002, Hirair Hovnanian’s brother, Jirair Hovnanian, a great philanthropist too, established CANDLE Institute and from that day on both Hovnanian brothers continuously supported the scientific activities of CANDLE.
CANDLE team expresses sincere condolences to Hirair Hovnanian’s family, relatives and colleagues and shares with them the deep sorrow of the irreversible loss.
