On 16-17 December 2020 the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (Grenoble, France) organized the online 28th European Synchrotron Light Source Workshop (ESLS). ESLS workshop is an annual event designed to give the synchrotron community the opportunity to keep abreast of operation and developments taking place in facilities throughout Europe. The workshop program covered all relevant aspects of the design, construction, operation and improvement of synchrotron light sources.
The report on “CANDLE project status” was presented by prof. V. Tsakanov on the workshop. The new high brightness CANDLE synchrotron light source project design was outlined along with the beam physics issues, AREAL facility user case and the outlooks in the fields of ultrafast sciences.
