The 3rd year students of Physics faculty (YSU) had an introductory visit to CANDLE SRI. An annual practical course on accelerator physics, technology and applications, developed at CANDLE SRI, will be given to the students. This is an integral part of the University educational program as well.
The students were introduced the laboratories and scientific facilities currently operating at CANDLE and were represented the main topics to be taught during this course, which includes:
- Introduction to accelerators
- Beam diagnostics and control
- RF systems and measurements
- Magnets and measurements
- Vacuum technology and test stands
- Accelerator engineering and technology
- Radiation safety and dosimetry
- Lasers and optical systems
- Beam delivery and experiments
- Laser micro-fabrication
- Laser fluorescence microscopy
