UBA 2026 Workshop Successfully Launched at CANDLE SRI

The UBA 2026 Workshop, organized by the CANDLE Synchrotron Research Institute in collaboration with DESY and Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare (INFN), was successfully launched on 29 June 2026. The organization of the workshop was supported by the Higher Education and Science Committee of Armenia.

Since its establishment in 2017, the UBA (Ultrafast Beams and Applications) Biennial Workshop has served as an international scientific platform dedicated to the presentation and discussion of recent advances in ultrafast beams, accelerator concepts, radiation sources, and their applications in life and materials sciences. The workshop brings together leading researchers, accelerator physicists, and specialists from various scientific fields to exchange knowledge, present recent achievements, and discuss future directions in accelerator science and related technologies.

The 2026 edition of the workshop has convened researchers from the USA, Italy, Germany, Great Britain, Armenia and partner institutions, providing an opportunity to present new accelerator projects, innovative concepts, and advanced techniques. The scientific program places particular emphasis on developments in accelerator physics, next-generation radiation sources, and emerging approaches for the application of accelerator technologies in interdisciplinary research.

UBA 2026 aims to strengthen international scientific collaboration, promote knowledge exchange, and foster new research initiatives in the fields of accelerator science, ultrafast beam technologies, and radiation-based applications.
