On July 4-8, 2022, the “Ultrafast Beams and Applications” (UBA-22) international conference organized by CANDLE SRI and the DESY Accelerator Center, was held at CANDLE. Researchers from Germany, and Italy, as well as from local science-academic institutes attended the conference.
During the workshop presentations on a wide range of new accelerator projects, advanced concepts, techniques, and accelerator applications were shown.
This year, CANDLE SRI is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its foundation, and several events dedicated to this occasion took place during the workshop.
In the course of UBA-22, the participants and guests also had an opportunity to visit the AREAL laser-driven accelerator facility and get acquainted with the ongoing activities of the laboratories.
